Presentation

The DESAL Permanent Seminar is projected as a space for training and academic dialogue on the major problems and critical issues that mobilize societies and mark the evolution of the country, Latin America and the world society as a whole. In addition, this initiative seeks to problematize the way in which social research currently deals with processing the social changes underway in the different countries of the region. It is a space attentive to the public agendas of societies, to the core aspects that are shaping the different currents of the social sciences, as well as to the link between the scientific field and the constellation of actors in the social world.

The Permanent Seminar is structured on the basis of single sessions with speakers renowned on the different topics addressed. It is a third-cycle proposal not only aimed at postgraduate and undergraduate students of the university system but also at researchers, teachers, political leaders and the general public.
