He has carried out research on the sociological theory of social order, particularly on the developments of Niklas Luhmann's socio-systemic perspective and its links with the sociological tradition. He has also studied the relationship between global society, modernity and regional differentiation aimed at advancing towards a new conceptualization of Latin America. He is currently initiating research on social and societal changes linked to the emergence of artificial/algorithmic communication (AI).
