Specialist in the study of popular and mass culture from a materialistic semiotic perspective, in dialogue with critical cultural studies. His work is focused on authors such as Mikhail Bakhtin, Fredric Jameson, Yuri Lotman and Julia Kristeva, all of them representatives in one way or another of a semiotic reading centered on cultural productivity, with special emphasis on its various popular. derivations. Within the framework of that theoretical enclave, he analyzes contemporary subjectivities, the development of a public intimacy and the affective expressions that accompany it, considering the form these flexions take in mass consumption narratives such as TV series. He is currently training human resources and directing research projects that focus on the study of pop culture as a matrix that allows the evaluation of social, historical and mercantile processes in materialities such as cinema, TV, music, videogames and social media.
